experiences in student organization activity

I attended a student organization activity with my friend in a few weeks ago. I was very surprised at the large number of student's organizations. This was my first time for me to come to such a big event in WIU. Everything was new to me. I even did not know where to start. I saw a lot of smiling faces. I was very happy to see a Chinese face.  And the girl greeted me. So I walked there and we had a talk. The name of the organization was International Friendship Club. It organized different activities on campus to promote better communication understanding among people from different countries. I was very interested, so I asked some questions about the organization. There were 50 members in this group. They meet in the multiculture center at 5:00 pm every Thursday. I was very invited to join this group, and I look forward to many new friends.

Childhood

Time always faded our childhood memories, but it never washed away my memory of my childhood. I was very interested to play with mud when I was a little boy.
I was the only kid in my family, and I got too much attention, which sometimes can be annoying. I also got a lot of toys with different colors and designs. But I love the most is to play with mud by myself at that time. I took full control over the mud. And I could decide everything. This game could be very creative. I could make up something that never existed before, and did not need to worry about other’s opinions. It was full of possibilities. It was easy to build and easy to destroy. I felt very free when I playing this ‘game’. I could use my imagination and talents. I could make it very simple, such as building a dam; I could also make it very difficult, such as building a small city.
This is just a little part of my childhood’s life, but whenever I think of those moments, I can not help feeling the true happiness from the bottom of my heart, because happiness can be found from something simple and trifle.

About Cigarette News of Chicago

I read news about increasing the city cigarette tax by 75 cents in many times ago. I do not know it become true or not now, but if this become true, Chicago will become the nation’s highest total cigarette taxes. I think it will do more good for our society in some ways.
Firstly, it will decrease the number of cigarette sold with the cigarette tax increase. People tend to buy less with the limit of budget. Cigarette smoking is harmful to people’s health. It can protect their health with decrease using cigarette.
Secondly, the cut in the sale of cigarettes will lower the profit of the cigarette companies. This will help to protect the environment of our life. The environment pollution is still the one of the most important issues of the world. That is a good way to decrease the environment pollution.
The last but not least, the tax income will be used to help the public welfare. It can also help a lot of people to get a better life. I am a non-smoker, I agree with this suggestion.  I hope it will become the true.

Stopping Ebola

I have never heard about Ebola until I read an article ‘Windows to Stop Ebola Outbreak is ‘Closing Quickly,’ Official Warns by Alexandra Sifferlin. In this article, the outbreak of Ebola infected a lot of people in West Africa, even though include the doctors who from the other countries. A lot of patients have had to turn away; because of it was lack of space. That will be more difficult to treat patients and stop the outbreak of Ebola. So I think we should call for volunteers from all over the world to go to West Africa to help with emergency relief. The best volunteers will be those with medical trainings and emergency relief knowledge. We can get some support from international organizations, such as World Health Organization (WHO). They can organize the volunteers together and manage the emergency relief activities. Another idea is to increase the salaries of the local medical staff, so that they can work harder to help those infected with Ebola. I hope the disease will be stopped as soon as possible with help from all over the world.
